Instructions and Help about Why Form 1094 B Providers

Hi there! I'm Charles with Express IRS forms. com. I'm here to tell you about the new filing requirements of the Affordable Care Act forms, also known as the ACA or Obamacare. These forms have changed the healthcare laws in our country, and as a result, new forms need to be filed with the IRS. Providers of insurance and certain large employers who are required to provide insurance will need to file these forms starting with the 2015 tax year. The forms 1095-B and 1095-C will work similarly to 1099s or W-2s. They will report information about the insurance received by taxpayers each year. Applicable large employers, which are employers with at least 50 full-time employees, must file a copy of the form 1095-C for each of their covered individuals with the IRS. They also have to send a copy to the employee. Other insurance providers must do the same thing with form 1095-B. If you are filing on paper, you need to include forms 1094-B or 1094-C with the transmittal forms for 1095 when you file with the IRS. However, if you have more than 250 of these forms to file, the IRS requires you to e-file. At Express IRS forms, we recommend e-filing anyway because it is the easiest and fastest way to complete your ACA forms. For more ACA return information or to get started filing, you can check out our website or contact our friendly customer service team in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
