Hello, this is Jeff Bellinger here for another Two-Minute on Tuesday. We have entered fall, and with that, we are getting close to the open enrollment season. On a positive note, we have been enjoying a good football season so far. Today, I want to discuss the recent release of IRS forms 1094 and 1095 B and C. The IRS has made some updates to these forms, and you can find them on their website. I will provide a link below in the YouTube site for easy access. These forms are required by the government to ensure compliance with the individual mandate. Unlike last year, it is unlikely that there will be a reprieve this time. Therefore, it is crucial that you have these forms in your employees' hands by January 31st, 2019. If you are filing manually, you have until the end of February to submit them, and if you are filing electronically, you have until the end of March to do so. The 1094 forms are intended for smaller employers who are engaged in self-funding, while the 1095 forms are applicable to larger employers with 50 or more employees, regardless of the type of insurance coverage. If you have used our business planning services in the past, you can expect an email within the next two weeks to start the preparation process. However, if you have other channels for obtaining these forms, such as your insurance company or accountants, be proactive in checking for their availability. As of now, the deadline remains January 31st, and while we don't anticipate any changes, only time will tell. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions regarding these forms.
